St. Peter’s Sixth Annual Chili Chowder Cookoff Contest will be held on Saturday, April 23rd, from 4:30 p.m. till 6:00 p.m. at the church located at 3 Peabody Row in Londonderry. 25 teams of cooks are expected to face off for bragging rights in this fundraising event. A portion of the proceeds will benefit NuDay, a non-profit working to secure dignified and empowered aid for women and children affected by humanitarian crises worldwide, including Ukraine and Syria.
All are invited to attend and even enter a crockpot of chili or chowder in the competition, using their favorite recipe. For a $12 donation, people will be able to sample competitors' chili or chowder, while enjoying country and western entertainment. Kids 10 and under are just $6. Attendees will also be able to vote on their favorite chili/chowder to win the people's choice award. Awards will also be given for best overall chili/chowder as determined by our celebrity judges, including Sean McDonald from WMUR, Channel 9. Plenty of fun for the kids too, with Kid’s Choice voting and treasure filled pinatas waiting to be broken. Cook registration is at 4:15 pm, dining from 4:30 to 6:00, and awards at 6 PM. To register, email Lee O’Connor @ firstname.lastname@example.org or call 781-801-8161.
