St. Peter’s, along with other area congregations, is participating in a fund-raising event to help provide emergency food supplies to those most in need in the greater Manchester through “The Outreach Program” and the New Hampshire Food Bank.
"The Outreach Program", a national nonprofit that organizes food packaging events - with millions of meals packaged to date. Through August and September, we will raise funds for The Outreach Program who will then purchase food and supplies for us to prepare on the morning of October 20th.
Here the math: Every dollar contributed provides 4 packaged meals. A donation of $10 = 40 meals. For $54 a donor can purchase one box, providing 216 meals. Our goal is to raise AT LEAST $5000 -- which equals 20,000 prepackaged meals for the NHFB to distribute!!!
We need you to help - and there are two things you can do!
Support by donating to our team. The process is fast, easy, and secure... and you can be sure that it will benefit a great cause! You are also welcome to join us at the place and time above to package the meals. Donations can be made at: https://www.classy.org/team/180427. Checks can also be written to St. Peter’s Episcopal Church with the words “Hunger Outreach” in the memo field.
Save the date for the morning of October 20th from 9:30 a.m. until...well...when we’re finished packing 20,000 meals (probably around Noon) and come and help us help those in need in our community.
